McNett Outgo, the makers of my favorite microfiber towels, have made a very special pink towel available, with a portion of all proceeds going towards breast cancer research! These towels are the same quality as you have come to expect from their Ultra Compact Micro Fiber Towels, only in a bright pink color and an embroidered pink ribbon to show their support.

I am a two-time survivor of breast cancer, so these are very important to me, as research and early detection are the key to beating breast cancer. These towels are very compact, but will absorb five times their weight in water, wicking it away from your skin or hair with ease. A big bonus when camping or any outdoor activity using these towels, is their ability to dry faster than your standard terry cloth towels; the towels are treated with Silvaour, to inhibit any odor causing bacteria. At a generous 30″ X 50″ this towel will do double duty as both a body and hair towel. There is an attached loop that snaps closed for hanging, and the loop also has a place for your name, making it ideal for sending kids off to camp.

I always have my original Outgo Microfiber towel with me when I go camping, but this time along side my moss colored towel I had the pink. My husband of course thought this was perfect as we could each have our own towel, and there would be no mistaking them. We rustic camp, so washing up means using  water out of the nearby creek. This was a family camping trip, and my granddaughter jumped at the chance to be able to use my new towel, Being as the temperature was only in the 40’s, getting the water out of hair, so it can dry quicker, is very important.

Other uses for these multipurpose towels could include: light blanket, body wrap, scarf or head wrap, padding for a seat, or even a picnic blanket. With time and use, I am sure to find many more uses for this unique towel. If you travel and spend time in the outdoors or are sending your child off to camp, these towels would make a great addition to your equipment. Actually any activity that you would need to shower or dry off, these towels would work wonderful for, indoors or out!

The MSRP of the towels is $24.95, and they can be purchased at https://www.mcnett.com/outgo/pink-microfiber-towel#68165; Remember, a portion of the sales goes toward Breast Cancer Research! McNett PT Pod and Ultra Compact Microfiber Towels

28 11 2014

mcnett outgo logo 2If you spend time in the woods and outdoors you will find more and more uses for the McNett Outgo microfiber towels. I used them on a recent trip, and they became my go to towels for just about everything!

The PT Pod Microfiber Towel is a compact 20” X 32”, 3.2 ounce towel that stuffs into its own 6” X 4.5” attached zippered pocket for storage. I can honestly say this is probably the only sewn in zipper pocket that I have actually been able to get the product back into and still be able to zip the pouch. Being as it is microfiber, it absorbs five times its weight in water, and dries faster than terry cloth towels.

It is also treated with an antimicrobial silver treatment to ward off odors and keep it fresh. There is a snap closure hanging loop, complete with name tag, that can be used to hang your towel for drying, or for attaching the towel to your hunting pack or even jacket. These towels come in Moss, OG Green, Khaki, Mocha and Cobalt.

Ok, so it is a towel, plus it can be used for so much more! I keep one attached to my hunting pack to be used as: a lap blanket on cool mornings, easy drying on my scope lenses and cameras in case of rain, the zipper pouch can be used to hold keys, license or other items securely, a scarf to keep your neck warm as well as being used to dry anything. The name tag makes this towel perfect for sending off to camp with kids, with good hopes of it coming back home.

The Ultra Compact Microfiber Towel comes in 2 sizes: large 30” X 50” and extra large 35” X 50”. The color selection of these towels are; Khaki, Mocha, Moss, Cobalt, OG Green and Terra Cotta. The advanced material of these towels makes it possible for them to absorb more moisture while they dry faster. These towels can absorb 5 times its weight in water and dry quickly. The antimicrobial silver treatment keeps the towels smelling fresh by warding off bacteria that cause odors. The towels come with a hanging loop, which works great for hanging out to dry or hanging in our camper. There is also a convenient zipper pouch that can be used for carrying the towel and toiletries to the shower house.

On our recent trip I packed the Ultra Compact Microfiber Towel for myself, while I took our regular terry cloth towels for my husband. During our morning walk to the shower house, everything I needed, including the towel was inside the small zippered pouch that came with the towel. My husband carried a much larger carry on type bag, to store his towels. By the end of the 3 week trip, my towels still smelled fresh, while his were getting a very distinct musty smell to them. I used one to dry my hair with, and it helped wick most of the dampness out so my hair dried quicker.

Other uses for these multipurpose towels could include; light blanket, body wrap, scarf or head wrap, padding for a seat, or even as a picnic blanket. With time and use, I am sure to find many more uses for this unique towel. If you travel and spend time in the outdoors, or are sending your child off to camp, these towels would make a great addition to you equipment. Actually any activity that you would need to shower or dry off, these towels would work wonderful for.

The MSRP of the PT Pod Microfiber Towel is $19.95 and the Ultra Compact Microfiber Towel is $24.95. Both of these products can be purchased at https://www.mcnett.com/outgo.
