Few things I really hate, but being cold and my cell phone battery dying are two of the them. Celestron has come up with a way to help you stay warm, charge your battery, and even light your way in small, convenient to use products.

The Celestron Thermotrek is a durable, long-lasting hand warmer that will give you up to six hours of continuous heat. The unit recharges by use of a USB 2.0 that can be plugged into your computer or wall adapter. With a small compact size of 1.76” x 3.72” x .9” and a mere 5.22 ounces, this unit can be taken along most everywhere. The Thermotrek

is capable of reaching temperatures of 104° to 113° F, and if you are not wearing gloves when using the Thermotrek, you probably will want to use the soft carry pouch. This unit will keep your hands or body warm! During a recent archery hunt, the weather went from hot summer weather to cool autumn weather over night. While later in the season, I would consider 50’s comfortable, the abrupt change in temperature had me feeling cold! I turned on the Thermotrek, and after warming my hands, I moved the unit to an inside jacket pocket to keep my core comfortable. Not often have I been able to move a hand warmer around because my hands actually got warm!

The Firecel+ is a 3 in 1 device that not only will warm your hands, but charge your phone/iPad/camera, and works as a red or white LED flashlight! The unit only measures 2.57” x 3.49” x .9” and weighs 3.52 ounces, perfect for tucking into a pocket or back pack for any outdoor activity. I used the red LED flashlight in the mornings and evenings to get in and out of my tree stand; the red light doesn’t seem to bother the deer as much as a white light does, and it gives you plenty of light to see what you are walking through. The 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers two full charges to most cell phones, and the dual-mode hand warmer can provide up to twelve hours of continuous heat to either one or both sides of the unit. Celestron advertises this unit as rugged, and I agree! After dropping it out of my tree stand, hitting almost every step on the way down, and landing in the mud, the unit still works great! This is what I need all the time, a product that can hold up to ME!

Another Celestron product that has proven to be “ME proof” is the PowerTank Go. This battery charger, via USB, and flashlight are crushproof and shockproof. It can resist being dropped up to five meters and a downward pressure of 1000 pounds. It is also dust-resistant and completely water-resistant. All of these things are important when I am taking items out in the woods with me. I won’t say I am careless, but I am out there to hunt and fish, not babysit the products I use. So when I use a product, it is usually used to the max. I charged my iPad while hunting and fishing, and I will be taking all three products with me next week while camping.

An added bonus to these great products is that I am currently carrying them in my purse. I have a condition called Reynaud’s Syndrome that causes my fingers to turn blue in damp cold weather, or even in the freezer section of grocery stores. Many restaurants are so cold that my hands get really chilled while eating also. By carrying these hand warmers I can keep my fingers warm, and I always have the ability to charge my ever dying cell phone battery also!

The MSRP’s of the Celestron products are:
