Americans are worried about their drinking water. That is why over 50 billion bottles of water were consumed last year. When you look at the numbers, the plastic required to bottle that amount of water equates to more than 1 billion dollars of plastic. At home I try to use filter bottles, and my tap water to drink; when I am outdoors, it is impossible to carry the amount of water I need daily with me.
Aquamira makes staying hydrated and cutting down on the plastic waste hitting the landfills easy. The Frontier Flow Filtered Water Bottle takes out 99.9999% of bacteria, including Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Chlorine and bad odors/taste are also removed by the Green Line replaceable filter, and the Red LIne Filter removes all this and viruses for when you travel abroad or areas prone to water born viruses. This water bottle has the highest flow rate of any water bottle on the market, at 500 ml per minute, and it is BPA free. The bottle is treated with Miraguard™ Antimicrobial Technology to reduce the growth of bacteria, fungus, and mold within the filter. The new design of the ergonomic bottle is to be comfortable in hand and to fit into bicycle water bottle holders. It utilizes a Bite Me valve, and best of all, Made in the USA! The Green Line filter filters 100 gallons of water over the life of the filter, while the Red Line filter treats 120 gallons.
I keep a carabiner on the finger grip carry loop, so it can hang off of my packs or belt. When I am in a treestand, the same carabiner can be used to hold the bottle on a tree hook or limb.
The Frontier Max In-Line Filtration System uses the same type of Red Line filtering system in a in-line design made perfect for hydration packs. Using the Quick Connect adapter, I had the in-line filter installed in minutes on my hunting pack. Now no matter where I go or how I get there, I will be sure of safe, clean water anytime.
While I try to fill my bottle or hydration pack from the tap, occasions arise that make that impossible; at these times, I fill my bottle from fast running water that is flowing over rocks and is highly aerated.
Recently I spent ten days camping with my family. I carried the Frontier Flow or the Frontier Max with me everywhere as I fished and hiked. I was confident that the water I was ingesting was safe and free from any worrisome bacteria, bugs, and/or viruses. My granddaughter tended to grab whichever filter I was not using to use herself. I would never deny her access to clean water, and I think these will make the ideal Christmas present for her!
